Summary

MongoDB On Microsoft Azure | MongoDB Blog A new preview release of the MongoDB controller for Azure is available, including support for replica sets and plans to integrate with Azure platform features over coming months. The release uses Azure worker roles to host each member of a replica set, allowing the size of the replica set to be determined by the number of instances configured. The MongoDB Azure wrapper release is currently delivered as a Visual Studio 2010 solution with associated source files, and will be followed up with packaging and deployment tools. A sample application has been included to help users get started quickly, and Microsoft will present at the MongoSV conference in Santa Clara on December 9th to provide further information on the solution and its future direction.
