MongoDB has released a new version of its Management Service, featuring improved user interface and performance enhancements. The new cluster page charts provide better insights into MongoDB deployments, while faster backup processing allows for quicker restores. Additionally, the backup service now supports restoring from secondaries, and automatic cleanup of orphaned heads has been implemented to improve restore times. The management service also includes other updates such as support for two-factor authentication and a new alert system for detecting repl lag on secondaries. Further development is underway, including an automation beta program with select customers, which will officially launch at MongoDB World. Users can report issues or request features through the feature request queue.
