Summary

The A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) has initiated a Supply Chain 4.0 Program with industry partners, including MongoDB, to develop digital and automation solutions for supply chain management. The program aims to enable businesses to integrate technological innovations into their operations to deal with diverse challenges posed by growing supply chains. A key challenge is the need for end-to-end visibility, decision-making support, disruption prediction and management capabilities in a single platform. To address this, MongoDB, along with its industry partners, has developed an easy-to-use database platform called ORCA, which leverages federated database architecture, document model, and GraphQL API to enable data sharing and processing across enterprises. The ORCA platform can collate data from multiple sources, enable quick information sync and search, and provide a seamless communication environment for different simulation platforms and risk management. This initiative has attracted over 50 companies from various sectors, including multinational companies and local small and medium enterprises.
