MongoDB has released new monitoring and backup agents, along with a new API and more alerts. The release includes features such as two-factor authentication for all users, a new administration page to view recently sent emails, and updated host pages showing Toku builds. The monitoring agent has improved logging for MongoDB 2.6 config servers, while the backup agent now supports running multiple primary backup agents and creates a new session on failure to insert the periodic oplog token. Additionally, MongoDB's automation beta is continuing with select customers and will be officially debuted at MongoDB World in June.
