KPMG France has deployed a MongoDB-based data lake to support its accounting suite named Loop, which enables customers to unlock new levels of insight into their business performance. The data lake is built on top of MongoDB's flexible document data model, allowing KPMG France to manage large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. The platform also utilizes MongoDB's caching layer for high-speed user authentication and sessions, metadata management for customized reporting, and logging layer for troubleshooting production performance issues. KPMG France chose MongoDB due to its schema flexibility, scalability, and close integration with JavaScript, which enabled the company to accelerate development cycles and deliver a 50% faster time-to-market compared to other non-relational databases. The deployment is managed through MongoDB Atlas, a fully managed database service that provides proactive support, automated configuration, and high-resolution telemetry for data integrity and continuous backups.
