MongoDB is being used by Humanitix, a charity organization that aims to close the education gap for 600 million kids worldwide, as a key component in their platform. The company's founders, Adam McCurdie and Josh Ross, were inspired to start Humanitix after seeing the impact of education on communities in Tanzania and Vietnam. They began by using WordPress and plug-ins, but soon realized they needed a more scalable solution, which led them to MongoDB Atlas on Google Cloud Platform. With MongoDB, Humanitix was able to achieve rapid growth, doubling in size every three to four months, and scaling their platform to support international expansion. The company has also used MongoDB's features, such as geosharding and App Engine, to improve their efficiency and speed. Additionally, Humanitix is using MongoDB's search capabilities and Stitch integration to power dynamic data sending and dynamic data processing. The partnership with MongoDB has enabled Humanitix to achieve a 40x multiplier in investment returns, and has made it possible for the company to donate more money to charity over time.
