Nicolae Gudumac, the CTO of Planable, prioritized developer velocity by using MongoDB's document data model, building on top of Node.js and websockets, and leveraging MongoDB change streams for scalability. The team migrated from Compose.com to MongoDB Atlas due to its queryable backup snapshots, automated upgrades, and configuration flexibility. Atlas features such as the Real-Time Performance panel and Performance Advisor have allowed the team to optimize database performance and dedicate more time to application improvements. Queryable backups and the upcoming release of MongoDB Charts have also helped the team address customer questions and gain insights from their database. MongoDB Atlas has increased the team's productivity, enabling Nicolae to give valuable time back to his team.
