Evelyne White is the founder and CEO of SixPlus, a marketplace that helps users find and book private and semi-private spaces for group dining events. She was inspired by peer-to-peer marketplaces like Airbnb and wanted to create a similar platform for local dining experiences in people's homes. After launching her first company, BookaLokal, which didn't scale well, Evelyne learned from her clients and refocused on creating SixPlus, which has seen significant sales growth and expansion plans. As a woman founder, she attributes her success to being able to notice and address "small" details that others might overlook, and advises other women to find great mentors and co-founders when starting their own companies. MongoDB has helped SixPlus by providing flexibility and reducing development time and effort. Evelyne is now looking to raise an institutional round of funding to further expand her business.
