Atlas Full-Text Search is now available in beta, making it easier than ever to get score-ranked results for text-based data. Built on Apache Lucene, Atlas Full-Text Search combines the flexibility of MongoDB with the speed of Lucene, allowing users to create dynamic indexes and use the $searchBeta operator to query text data. To get started, users need to be running an M30 cluster or higher and choose to run the 4.2 release candidate or higher. Once set up, users can import sample data, create a Full-Text Search index, and run queries using the $searchBeta operator. The operator allows users to combine searches with compound queries, adding additional operators such as must, should, and mustNot to refine results. Users can also add MQL aggregation stages, such as sorting by price, to further narrow down their search results. With Atlas Full-Text Search, users can take advantage of the power of Lucene to get score-relevant results for text-based data.
