MongoDB’s Client-Side FLE supports KMIP-enabled Key Provider

MongoDB has released its Client-Side FLE support for any KMIP-compliant key provider, allowing customers to protect data while being transmitted, at rest and in use, with strong privacy and security controls. This feature supports the use of any KMIP-enabled key provider, including major cloud providers' services and custom in-house solutions, simplifying the process of enforcing right-to-erasure mandates in modern privacy regulations. With Client-Side FLE, data remains queryable, but is rendered unreadable to anyone running the database or having access to its infrastructure, ensuring the strongest protection for sensitive fields.
