Clear: Enabling Seamless Tax Management for Millions of People with MongoDB Atlas` The Indian tax and financial services software platform Clear has successfully implemented a scalable solution to manage tax returns using MongoDB Atlas, a fully-managed developer data platform. With over six million registered users, the platform was experiencing performance issues due to its MySQL-based system, which could not handle peak demand. A proof of concept study comparing MySQL's performance with MongoDB revealed that MongoDB was considerably faster and more cost-effective. After replatforming from MySQL to MongoDB Atlas on AWS, Clear achieved a 2900% jump in processing speed and significant cost savings. The new platform has also enabled the team to easily scale up and down their clusters, automate right-sizing, and manage large amounts of data with ease.
