MongoDB has announced the general availability of MongoDB 2.6 and is introducing automation features to its Management Service (MMS). MMS provides a user-friendly interface for running MongoDB reliably at scale, offering continuous backup, monitoring, and alerts on over 100 metrics. The service also includes automation features that make operations tasks effortless, such as provisioning, configuring, upgrading, and managing MongoDB deployments with just a single click. A demo video of the automation features is available, and users can sign up to be notified when the public beta becomes available, along with a webcast on April 17 to learn more about the latest version of MongoDB and MMS.
