MongoDB Atlas has introduced two major features: Compute Auto-Scaling, which automates capacity management by closely monitoring resource utilization metrics and triggering scaling events using predictive modeling; and Data Infrastructure as Code, which allows users to deploy, configure, and manage their Atlas clusters as code from their Kubernetes control plane or Terraform tool. Additionally, MongoDB Atlas has expanded its geographic coverage with the addition of AWS Bahrain and Azure Dubai, bringing the total number of regions to 66. The service is also PCI DSS certified and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 compliant, ensuring standards conformance and compliance for regulatory objectives.
