The MongoDB team has released the first candidate of version 3.2, which includes WiredTiger as the default storage engine and significant improvements to replication and sharding, a new leader election protocol, document validation capabilities, richer analytics and search, text search enhancements, aggregation framework enhancements, encrypted storage engine, left outer join, additional languages for text search, partial indexes, and several other features. The MongoDB Bug Hunt is now open, inviting community members to test and improve the release, with prizes awarded for contributions, including a $1,500 Amazon Gift Card and tickets to MongoDB World.
