MongoDB is a popular database solution that can be deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), offering high-performance and high-availability capabilities. GCP provides various options for MongoDB deployment, including manual installation/configuration and use of Cloud Launcher or MongoDB Cloud Manager. The latter offers a more streamlined experience, allowing users to quickly deploy, upgrade, backup, monitor, and manage their cluster from a single interface. Updated documentation and Deployment Manager templates are now available to bootstrap MongoDB deployments using MongoDB Cloud Manager, enabling users to launch multiple Compute Engine instances with attached persistent SSDs and download the MongoDB Cloud Manager agent on startup. This simplifies the process of deploying and managing MongoDB clusters on GCP.
