MongoDB has introduced several new features at MongoDB World 2022 to improve security and operations. Queryable Encryption allows customers to run expressive queries on fully encrypted data, reducing the heavy lifting involved when working with encrypted data. Cluster-to-Cluster Sync enables real-time data synchronization between two MongoDB clusters in different environments, giving organizations full control over the synchronization process. The MongoDB Atlas Operator for Kubernetes seamlessly integrates MongoDB Atlas into Kubernetes deployments, controlling resources without leaving the control plane. Enhanced Online Archive features include Data expiration and scheduled archiving, allowing customers to automate data storage and deletion rules. Finally, Atlas Serverless abstracts server provisioning and management, eliminating cognitive load and paying only for used resources. These new features aim to improve operational excellence, security, consistency, and scale while alleviating repetitive tasks for developers and IT managers.
