100x Faster Facets and Counts with MongoDB Atlas Search: Public Preview` is a public preview release of a new feature in MongoDB Atlas Search that allows for lightning-fast faceting and counting operations over large data sets, improving performance by up to 100x compared to previous methods. This feature enables fast and convenient navigation to complex data sets, such as product catalogs and content libraries, and facilitates fast results counting. The new facet operator is pushed down into Atlas Search's embedded Lucene index and processed locally, taking advantage of 20+ years of Lucene optimizations.
