Talía Ayala-Feliciangeli, a rising senior at Georgia Tech, reflects on her enriching experience as a remote Product Design Intern at MongoDB over two summers. Her journey underscores MongoDB's open and supportive culture, especially regarding visa sponsorship for international students, which was a decisive factor in her decision to intern there. Working with the UX research team, Talía engaged in projects like the Atlas Billing Alerts, enhancing her understanding of cross-team collaboration and stakeholder engagement. Her confidence grew as a returning intern, benefiting from prior knowledge of team processes and consistent mentorship. Despite remote work challenges, Talía found robust virtual support that facilitated her professional growth and fostered a collaborative environment.
