The initiative has been recognized with a Silver Excellence Award from the Brandon Hall Group for its extended enterprise learning program. New courses, such as Data Modeling for MongoDB, Atlas Essentials, and MongoDB for SQL Professionals, focus on practical and foundational skills, while new certifications like MongoDB Associate Developer and Associate Database Administrator provide formal validation of skills. MongoDB's leadership is also transitioning, with Dev Ittycheria announcing his retirement as CEO effective November 2025, and Chirantan “CJ” Desai, a seasoned executive with growth-at-scale experience, set to take over to lead MongoDB into its next phase of growth, dubbed MongoDB 3.0.
