Momento Leaderboards Just Got Even Better with Competition Ranking

Momento has enhanced its leaderboard capabilities by introducing competition ranking in its Java SDK, allowing shared ranks for players with identical scores, which offers a more intuitive and fair ranking system. This new feature, accessed via the getCompetitionRanking call, maintains the existing leaderboard setup and provides an alternative to the traditional ordinal ranking by assigning the same rank to players with equal scores, thus improving clarity and fairness, especially in scenarios with frequent ties. This update, which aims to meet user expectations for ranking systems in competitive applications, is available now and supports large-scale leaderboards, exemplified by its use in platforms managing millions of entries like Raider.IO.
