Modal is SOC2 compliant

Modal announced that it completed a SOC 2 Type I audit, with an update dated January 2, 2025 noting that it has since become SOC 2 Type II compliant. Developed by the American Institute of CPAs, SOC 2 evaluates a service provider’s internal controls for information security through an independent audit. Modal’s assessment covered areas including data security, network configuration, change management, access controls, backups and disaster recovery, and incident-response planning. The company describes the certification as part of an expanding security program, plans to maintain annual SOC 2 audits, and makes its report available through its Trust Center.
