Use product intelligence to guide your next build with Mixpanel insights in Cursor
Blog post from Mixpanel
Mixpanel’s Model Context Protocol server integrates behavioral data and business context into Cursor, allowing teams to investigate product conversion issues alongside the code responsible for user experiences. Using a checkout-flow example, it describes defining a consistent funnel and conversion window, comparing behavior before and after an update, and segmenting results to identify that mobile users are dropping off when submitting shipping details. Developers can then inspect the related code, test a hypothesis such as a required-field error being hidden on small screens, implement an accessible fix that preserves entered data, and validate it through relevant layout, navigation, and tracking tests. After release, teams can query the same funnel again once users have had adequate time to complete it, while maintaining consistent event definitions and accounting for changes in customer mix, tracking, or exposure to the fix. The comparison can inform subsequent investigation but cannot by itself prove causation, and the workflow can be applied to other important product journeys such as subscriptions or bookings.
