Unlocking better data governance with Anomaly Detection alerts and Event Approval

Mixpanel has introduced two new features, Anomaly Detection and Event Approval, designed to enhance data governance within organizations by ensuring the quality and accuracy of data used for analysis. Anomaly Detection allows users to set up alerts on key events to maintain consistent and accurate instrumentation by notifying them of unexpected changes in metrics, leveraging the open-source tool Prophet. Meanwhile, Event Approval provides admins with notifications about newly tracked events, allowing them to review and decide on the visibility of these events to ensure a clean and organized data environment. Both features aim to empower teams to uphold high data standards and are currently available for Enterprise plans, offering organizations improved insights into user engagement and retention through Mixpanel's analytics platform.
