Miradore to support Windows 7 and Windows 8

Miradore is expanding its device management capabilities to include Windows 7 and Windows 8 devices through the introduction of the Miradore client, which will be available from November 5th, 2019. This client is a lightweight background service designed to run on all 64-bit Windows devices, extending the existing management capabilities provided by the built-in MDM protocol. While the "Full" management mode, which combines both the MDM protocol and the Miradore client, is exclusive to Windows 10, the "Light" mode, which focuses on inventory collection and patch management, is available for Windows 7 and 8 devices. The deployment of the client will be automated for all Windows devices currently managed through Miradore, and users are encouraged to start enrolling their Windows 7 and 8 devices. Miradore emphasizes that the client will not interfere with user operations and highlights the importance of utilizing its management features to enhance device security.
