The Metabase Community Data Stack Survey: by data teams, for data teams

The Metabase Community Data Stack Survey 2025 was launched to gather insights from data teams about their experiences and choices in building modern data stacks. Aimed at understanding real-world applications beyond marketing narratives, the survey invited participants to share their experiences, challenges, and tool preferences, offering them a chance to benchmark their data stacks against those of other companies. The survey, which took 7 to 15 minutes to complete, was open for four weeks, and participants were promised early access to the final report as an incentive. This initiative aimed to create a comprehensive resource that reflects current trends and practices in the data community, with the hope that the shared insights would guide future strategic decisions and innovations in data management.
