Metabase AI Hackathon

Metabase is hosting an AI hackathon, inviting participants to utilize its newly introduced open-source AI tools, such as the MCP server, Agent API, and Metabot in Slack, to create innovative analytics projects. Participants are encouraged to showcase their creations—whether solo or in teams—through social media posts, blog entries, videos, or repositories, and submit their entries by tagging Metabase on X or LinkedIn with the hashtag #MetabaseAI by May 5, 2026. The hackathon, which began on April 21 and concludes on May 5, offers prizes including a Metabase mechanical keyboard and features on the company's blog and social media. Entries must incorporate at least one of Metabase's AI tools, and examples like a voice-powered agent demonstrate the potential of these tools. Winners will be announced on May 7, with the event aiming to inspire creative uses of Metabase's AI capabilities.
