Continuous Integration (CI) processes often face challenges with flaky tests and non-deterministic failures, leading teams to rely on auto-retry as a quick fix to maintain workflow velocity. While this approach can save time by preventing CI from blocking progress, it also risks masking underlying issues, causing a gradual erosion of trust in the CI system. To address this, CI Insights was developed to provide visibility into retry patterns, helping teams to identify flaky jobs, measure retry recovery rates, and understand the time costs associated with reruns. By offering detailed insights into CI operations, it aims to enhance confidence in test results by ensuring that a "green" status truly reflects reliability, rather than just being the result of repeated retries.
