Meet unified writes
Blog post from Merge
Merge has introduced Unified Writes, enhancing its Unified API to allow seamless data writing across various third-party platforms. This development addresses the complexities of platform-specific variability by utilizing features such as the /meta endpoint, which provides developers with comprehensive information on required and optional fields for integrations. Unified Writes also support non-standard fields through integration-specific, linked account-specific, and input-conditional parameters, ensuring no data POST requests are blocked. Debugging has been streamlined with standardized error messages and a new Debug Mode that clarifies third-party platform responses. These improvements enable developers to implement robust data writing capabilities in their products, accommodating diverse customer needs while simplifying the integration process.
