Merge has introduced its newest Unified API, the Knowledge Base, designed to integrate enterprise knowledge data for AI applications efficiently and securely. This API initially offers access to Atlassian Confluence, with plans to include other platforms such as Notion and Salesforce Knowledge. The Knowledge Base API addresses complex challenges like non-hierarchical data models, high-stakes permissions, and large-scale data syncing. It simplifies access through a unified data model, built-in permission handling, and up-to-date data synchronization, allowing enterprises to connect their internal knowledge seamlessly into AI systems. The API is currently in open beta for Confluence, with further integrations underway, positioning Merge as a comprehensive integration platform that enhances customer engagement through tailored data access solutions.
