ROADS by Porsche is an app that enables drivers to explore and share some of the world's most scenic routes, leveraging Mapbox for maps and navigation. Initially launched in November 2018, the app has garnered a community of approximately 85,000 global users and is accessible to anyone with a smartphone, not just Porsche owners. The latest update allows users with CarPlay-enabled vehicles to integrate the app with their car's infotainment system, offering a seamless, hands-free navigation experience via the Mapbox Navigation SDK's CarPlay support. This integration facilitates easy access to routes and turn-by-turn guidance while driving, enhancing safety and convenience for users.
