Mapbox Traffic 2.0 is an AI-driven traffic service available through Mapbox APIs and SDKs that aims to provide accurate estimated arrival times for 98% of trips. Built using models trained on trillions of location signals and continuously compared against actual trip outcomes, it accounts for lane-specific congestion at highway maneuvers, forecasts traffic conditions up to 2.5 hours ahead, and incorporates new speed observations in as little as under one minute. The updated traffic capabilities are included automatically for existing users of the Mapbox Maps SDK, Navigation SDK, Directions API, Matrix API, and Traffic Data.
