Preventive practices include configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, testing messages, maintaining permission-based and segmented lists, promptly removing invalid contacts, honoring unsubscribes, sending relevant content at consistent volumes, using clear opt-in processes, and encouraging recipients to add legitimate senders to safe lists.
