Summary

MySignature’s 2023 survey of more than 250 participants, supplemented by data from 20,000 user accounts across countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and India, examines how professionals and businesses use email signatures. Most respondents, 89.9%, use one signature, while 8.6% use up to 10, and 44.4% update their signatures two to four times annually, compared with 31.6% who update them only once every few years. Users commonly check email frequently, with 77.8% doing so more than five times daily, and typically send 11 to 25 business emails per day. Marketing and sales, real estate and construction, agencies and consulting, and e-commerce are identified as prominent sectors using signatures, primarily to strengthen branding and awareness and to standardize employee communications across companies. The findings also report that 36.3% do not use email trackers, while 25.1% use paid trackers and 14.1% use free options.
