Weak and stolen passwords are responsible for 81% of security breaches, but the risk can be significantly reduced by implementing two-factor authentication (2FA), which adds an extra security step to the login process. Two-factor authentication involves using a temporary code generated by an authenticator app, and setting it up for your Luciq account involves navigating to the profile page and enabling it from the secondary sidebar. Once enabled, users receive five one-time recovery codes for situations where they cannot access their phone, which should be stored securely on a different device. This additional security measure ensures that each login to the Luciq account requires an authentication or recovery code, thereby reducing the likelihood of compromised passwords.
