From Answers to Assets: Open 360 AI Chat Can Now Create Your Alerts and Dashboards

Logz.io has expanded Open 360 AI chat from an investigative assistant into a tool that can create and manage observability assets through the platform’s public APIs. When enabled by an account administrator, the agent can create or update log and metric alerts, dashboards, saved searches, and notification endpoints using context gathered during investigations, such as detected error patterns, thresholds, and affected services. Write access is disabled by default, uses scoped least-privilege credentials, and requires a user request, while all created objects remain standard editable or removable Open 360 assets. The feature is intended to reduce the manual work of translating investigation findings into monitoring coverage, illustrated by an example in which the agent identifies checkout latency caused by downstream timeouts, detects a missing alert, then creates an alert and health dashboard within the same chat. Logz.io presents this as an initial move toward agentic observability, with future aims including identifying monitoring gaps, tuning noisy alerts, and retiring stale configurations under user control.
