Figma's outline mode is a feature designed to improve navigation and understanding of complex Figma documents by displaying only the outlines of layers, including those that are clipped or invisible. This mode helps users select layers behind others, see intersections from Boolean operations, and reveal the intrinsic bounds of shapes with strokes. It can also show clipped or hidden layers without actually unhiding them, assisting in maintaining tidy documents. Activated by the keyboard shortcut Shift + O or through the toolbar, outline mode is versatile, allowing users to choose whether to include hidden layers or object bounds. This feature is particularly useful for designers who frequently toggle it to better manage and comprehend their design elements.
