Build an efficient app with Qwik React
Blog post from LogRocket
Qwik is an innovative JavaScript framework designed to enhance web page loading speed and user interaction by minimizing the initial amount of JavaScript served and incrementally increasing it as needed, a process called resumability. Though it offers significant benefits for web application development, its ecosystem is still developing. The Qwik React package, currently in beta, aims to integrate Qwik with React, leveraging React's extensive ecosystem to enhance performance and time-to-interactivity. By converting React components into Qwik components or "islands," developers can harness popular libraries like MUI and ThreeJs to build efficient applications. The qwikify$() function is central to this process, transforming React components into Qwik islands to improve application speed. The framework allows for partial hydration, where components become interactive based on specific conditions, and offers inter-component communication for dynamic applications. While Qwik React provides a promising approach to combining the strengths of both Qwik and React, it remains in its nascent stages and is not yet recommended for production use.
