New in the Linq API: @mentions, custom backgrounds, and more

Linq Partner API has introduced five new capabilities: webhook delivery for inbound contact card shares, inbound and outbound group-chat mentions, group-chat typing indicators, customizable chat backgrounds, and polls with vote events. These features expand existing messaging tools by allowing agents to receive shared contacts without polling, respond only when explicitly addressed in busy group conversations, signal activity during slower operations, customize thread appearance, and collect structured decisions. The announcement illustrates their combined use through a group scheduling agent that receives a shared attendee contact, waits for a mention, checks calendars, proposes times through a poll, and books the selected option.
