LangChain is launching a week-long challenge to create ChatGPT applications over various data sources, with the goal of making it easier for everyone to develop language model applications. The motivation behind this initiative is to provide examples that can help others get started, and by doing so, make language model development more accessible. Participants are encouraged to clone an example GitHub repo, customize it to their own data source and prompts, and submit their entry through a provided form. The challenge aims to collect as many examples as possible for various data sources, with the ultimate goal of putting the collected data loading logic and prompts in LangChain, making it easier for others to replicate the process. A winner will be determined based on the number of stars their repository receives by a certain date, and the prize includes a limited edition LangChain t-shirt.
