In the realm of user interface design, visual appeal is crucial due to the significant role vision plays in human perception, with 83% of information processed through sight. This makes addressing common visual bugs in web design essential to maintain a seamless user experience. These bugs include issues with layout such as misalignment, overlapping, and spacing; font discrepancies including mismatched sizes and types; color inconsistencies like incorrect button states; content errors involving cases and spelling; and flickering images due to improper caching by browsers like Internet Explorer. Despite these bugs being subtle and often overlooked, they can detract from the user experience, leading to embarrassment when discovered by users. To counter this, a tool called Smart Visual UI Testing has been developed to detect visual UI defects by comparing baseline images with current interface images, ensuring a polished and error-free user interface.
