Lune’s journey to perfecting API pricing (and saving the planet) with Lago

Lune, founded in 2021 by Erik Stadigh and Roberto Bruggemann, aims to integrate climate action into business operations by offering an API that combines real-time carbon emissions calculations and climate contributions. This initiative addresses the gap in meaningful environmental impact reporting, which often results in superficial sustainability efforts. By partnering with companies like Visa, Lune has enabled businesses to operate sustainably across various sectors such as logistics, supply chain, and banking. To support its growth, Lune required a flexible pricing and monetization strategy, which was facilitated by Lago. This partnership allowed Lune to efficiently manage billing, tax management, and revenue analytics. Lago’s tools enabled Lune to experiment with pricing strategies without heavy engineering demands, thereby increasing revenue and reducing technical debt. The collaboration was so effective that Erik Stadigh participated in Lago’s seed funding round as an angel investor.
