Lago has introduced a solution for businesses that share revenue with partners, particularly for those who charge based on usage, which traditional billing systems struggled to accommodate. Previously, Lago was only used for invoicing customers, but now it allows the creation of partners, enabling a process called self-billing, where a partner invoice is addressed to the business and originates from the partner. This new feature allows businesses to manage partnerships directly within Lago, eliminating the need for multiple tools, and allows Lago to calculate both the revenue generated by the partner and their overall cost.
