Laravel Cloud extends Laravel’s developer-focused framework into a managed production platform that handles infrastructure such as compute, databases, storage, queues, caching, and security while charging customers according to actual resource consumption. To make variable infrastructure costs predictable, Laravel introduced scale-to-zero Flex compute, recurring plan credits, spending alerts, and hard limits that stop additional spending, supported by a billing system that converts millions of hourly usage measurements into immutable events sent to Lago. Laravel built automated reconciliation tooling to manage its rapidly evolving pricing structure, including five plans, 41 charges per plan, and more than 2,000 filters, allowing new resource classes, per-second hibernation billing, credits, allowances, and legacy customer configurations to be deployed without manual billing updates. Lago provides metering, invoices, wallets for usage credits, and spending signals, while Laravel retains billing data in its own warehouse for financial and product analytics. Since early access, Laravel Cloud has exceeded one million deployments, processes roughly 80 million billing events and tens of thousands of invoices monthly, and aims to let developers deploy quickly while keeping costs visible and capped.
