Koyeb has announced the public preview of Volumes, a feature that offers blazing-fast NVMe SSD storage for data persistence across deployments, now available to all users on the Starter plan. This development allows for high throughput and low latency, supporting various workloads such as clustered databases, object storage, and AI model storage. Users can deploy container images from DockerHub, like Minio, Neo4j, ClickHouse, and Meilisearch, to seamlessly handle data persistence. Initially available in Washington DC and Frankfurt for Standard CPU instance types, Volumes are free during the public preview phase. Koyeb provides examples for deploying popular stateful applications, highlighting the ease of use with simple CLI commands. The company plans to expand Volumes to more regions and is working on additional features like data mobility and snapshots, seeking user feedback to shape future developments.
