Koyeb has introduced the public preview of TCP Proxy, a feature that allows users to expose TCP ports publicly, expanding beyond the previous options of HTTP, HTTP/2, WebSocket, and gRPC protocols. This development enables various TCP-based workloads, such as databases and remote access protocols, to be easily accessible over the Internet without the need for complex setups. Available across all pay-as-you-go plans, TCP Proxy can be activated with a simple configuration change in the Koyeb Dashboard or via the CLI. The feature supports direct connections for protocols like SSH and database clients, significantly enhancing accessibility and flexibility for users deploying services on Koyeb. Through a straightforward command, users can deploy an SSH server, receive an assigned public proxy host and port, and connect over the Internet, illustrating the simplicity and effectiveness of the new TCP Proxy feature.
