Volume Snapshots have been introduced in public preview, offering an important feature for backing up High-Performance Volumes, streamlining data management, and ensuring reproducibility. This function allows users to generate point-in-time copies of their data through simple commands, facilitating live backups, replication of datasets, and data movement between GPUs and CPU instances. The Snapshots are stored remotely to provide durability and prevent data loss in case of hardware failures, with availability in the Frankfurt, EU, and Washington, US regions. Users can utilize the Koyeb CLI for creating, viewing, and restoring Snapshots, with options for automation through third-party scheduling services like GitHub Actions. Snapshots are currently free during the public preview, inviting users to explore and give feedback as they deploy their first stateful services.
