Authentication: Announcing 2FA, MFA and Passkeys on Koyeb
Blog post from Koyeb
Koyeb has launched a new authentication system aimed at enhancing security and user experience through features like Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and passkeys. This upgrade replaces the platform's original internal authentication system, which, while effective, needed advancement to meet the evolving security demands of its users. The introduction of 2FA and MFA requires an additional verification step using authenticator apps, thereby reducing the risk of account compromise. Passkeys offer a password-free sign-in method, leveraging device-based security measures for a streamlined experience. Additionally, Koyeb plans to incorporate Google Social Login as an authentication method, further simplifying access for users. This authentication overhaul is part of Koyeb's broader commitment to providing robust security tools for deploying production-grade applications on its platform.
