Kong has expanded its presence in the UK by adding several London-based organizations to its Kong Enterprise community, including the popular peer-to-peer social shopping app Depop, which boasts over 14 million users. As Depop relaunched its mobile application, which is powered by more than 60 microservices on Docker and Kubernetes within Amazon Web Services, it selected Kong Enterprise for its superior performance, scalability, and comprehensive feature set after conducting performance tests against other solutions. Kong Enterprise's container-ready design allowed for immediate deployment, a significant advantage over other more complex alternatives. Depop plans to further integrate Kong Enterprise for its website and internal API management, demonstrating a substantial commitment to leveraging Kong's capabilities.
