Kong has introduced a public beta version of its revamped Konnect Developer Portal, designed to enhance the API consumer experience with modern features. The new portal provides improved API discovery, customization options, and a Kong-engineered spec renderer that currently supports OpenAPI 3.x, with plans to expand to AsyncAPI. It offers API product managers and platform teams control over design elements, allowing for a professionally branded and cohesive experience. The portal aims to simplify API publishing and management, enabling API producers to upload spec files, manage visibility and authentication settings, and publish APIs with ease. It also includes an analytics dashboard for evaluating API performance. The platform is available for a free 30-day trial, encouraging users to create and launch developer portals that drive API adoption through enhanced documentation and usability.
