Introducing Kong Context Mesh

Kong Context Mesh is a new product designed to facilitate the integration of agentic AI by providing a framework for accessing and managing enterprise data context. It addresses the challenge of agents requiring context from disparate systems by automatically discovering existing infrastructure, transforming it into agent-consumable tools, and governing access with enterprise-grade controls. Kong uses its existing knowledge of APIs, event streams, and authentication schemes to streamline the process, allowing agents to connect reasoning capabilities with operational data. This tech preview initially focuses on API management but plans to expand to other data sources, including event streams and direct data access, creating a unified toolkit for agents. By leveraging Kong's existing infrastructure, enterprises can transition from an API-first to an agent-first approach without rebuilding their access models, ensuring consistent governance and access controls.
